CREATED FOR RESTAURANTS, BY RESTAURATEURS

Omnivore exists to cultivate healthy relationships between restaurants, technology, and consumers. Chris Sullivan, Outback co-founder and former CEO, is the visionary behind Omnivore.

In 2012, Sullivan wanted a better, simpler way to bring new technologies like pay-at-the-table into restaurants and to help restaurants increase profitability by using technology. He invested in Omnivore in 2013, with the goal of building a technology solution to connect restaurant point-of-sale systems to technologies.

The result: Omnivore’s API, the central connection point for restaurant technology. In 2015, Bloomin’ Brands became the first major national chain to use Omnivore’s API.

    OMNIVORE {CONNECT} MARKETPLACE

As Omnivore added integrations, it began to curate the best technology solutions to improve business operations, from payment to labor. Omnivore introduced its Marketplace in 2017, and its customers can use the {Connect} Marketplace to find and easily activate new technologies.

    MENU MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LAUNCHED

The company closed its Series A funding round in 2018, which drove additional innovations and growth. In 2019, Omnivore launched the Menu Management System to simplify third-party delivery platforms for restaurants. More than 20 different restaurant brands provided input on Menu Management System’s development, and their input led to the addition of direct injection and several other features.
